The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking qualified candidate s to join the faculty for subspecialized academi c anatomic pathology service at our Froedtert Hospital location in Milwaukee .
C andidate s must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Pathology or higher and be Board Certified in, or eligible for certification in Anatomic Pathology or both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and have completed fellowship training in a surgical pathology subspecialty or cytopathology . Candidates should be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin.
The Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin consists of 5 6 faculty members who serve seven hospitals . The Froedtert Hospital campus operates under a subspecialty sign-out system, with close working relationships with clinicians and surgeons and a full complement of cutting-edge clinical service lines and a busy cancer center . Training programs include an AP/CP resident complement of 16 , and fellowships in surgical pathology, w omen’s h ealth p athology, gast rointestinal p athology , and cytopathology . The department additionally partners with Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories, a full-service , ISO 15189-accredited academic healthcare system and regional reference laboratory , with outstanding histology, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics , and molecular laboratories to support clinical workflows. The department additionally has immediate access to a full range of technical services to support clinical and t ranslational research projects .

Schedule:
- Full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- Provide coverage during core business hours with some flexibility required, as necessary, to accommodate business needs.

Qualifications:
- Education: MD or equivalent
- Certifications/Licenses:
Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
- Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology preferred.
- Must be eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin Medical License.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in both cytogenetic tests and a variety of molecular approaches.
