This is a relationship-driven advisory role, not a sales-first position, and centers on providing exceptional, comprehensive wealth management and building enduring relationships with the families served.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor for an assigned group of wealth management clients.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s financial circumstances, family dynamics, goals, concerns, and long-term priorities.
- Lead client review meetings and other important financial conversations, ensuring each interaction is well-prepared and thoughtfully structured.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the year, rather than relying solely on scheduled review meetings.

- Deliver comprehensive wealth management advice across a broad range of planning areas, including investment strategy, retirement planning, estate planning, cash-flow and liquidity planning, concentrated stock positions, charitable planning, business and executive compensation, and wealth transfer and legacy planning.

- Coordinate with internal specialists in investment management, tax, estate planning, compliance, and operations to provide an integrated wealth management experience.
- Prepare thoroughly for client meetings and ensure recommendations are clear, thoughtful, and actionable.
- Follow through on recommendations and drive important planning items from discussion to implementation.
- Communicate sophisticated financial concepts in a way that is understandable, practical, and relevant to each client’s situation.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients’ attorneys, CPAs, and other external professionals when appropriate to support coordinated planning.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the firm to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.
- Support a book of approximately 200–300 clients within the $500,000 to $1.5 million asset range, ensuring high-touch, personalized service.
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to putting clients’ interests first in all advisory activities.
Essential Skills

- Proficiency in investment strategy and portfolio discussions with clients.
- Experience with estate planning concepts and coordination with estate planning professionals.
- Knowledge of tax planning considerations as they relate to investments and overall financial plans.
- Ability to advise on retirement planning, including accumulation and distribution strategies.
- Experience addressing cash-flow and liquidity planning needs for clients.
- Familiarity with managing and advising on concentrated stock positions.
- Experience with charitable planning strategies and philanthropic giving.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to simplify complex financial concepts and communicate them clearly and confidently.
- Sound judgment and strong attention to detail in advisory work and documentation.
- Strong preparation, organization, and follow-through skills for client meetings and ongoing service.
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
- Collaborative approach to working with colleagues and outside professionals such as CPAs and attorneys.
