The Challenge (Job Summary) :

As an Accounting Manager, youll play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, support strategic decision-making, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role also leads accounting processes, supports audits, and manages financial performance across multiple entities.

Youll get to:

- Lead and oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting

- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

- Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

- Maintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize risk

- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and other reports

- Monitor budgets, expenditures, and overall financial performance across departments

- Lead month-end and year-end close processes

- Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership and providers to support business decisions

- Collaborate with external auditors and support annual audits and 401(k) audits

- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting and tax requirements

- Assist with payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

- Support financial reporting and accounting for subsidiary entities

- Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff

- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals

What you need to succeed:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite

Education & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required

- Masters degree preferred

- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting/finance experience required

Certifications (Preferred):

- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred
