A Day in the Life
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of daily operations within the assigned Crush, Refinery, or Packaging department. This role supports the Manager, Production Operations, in monitoring production performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across the assigned shift.
What You'll Be Doing
- Foster a strong safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management share a commitment to achieving zero injuries.
- Supervise assigned production shift activities (Crush, Refinery, Packaging, Warehouse, Boiler House, and/or Elevator) to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Support Bunge's commitment to food safety by maintaining a strong food safety culture, continuously improving the site's Food Safety Management System, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the assigned shift complies with all sanitation requirements and provide support during monthly sanitation inspections, including the implementation of corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitor and report on shift productivity and operational performance.
- Review and approve daily production reports and Key Performance Results (KPRs) for the assigned shift.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity.
- Provide input to the Manager, Production Operations, and/or Plant Manager for annual shutdown planning and execution.
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, where applicable.
- Partner with the Safety and Environmental Manager to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
- Help develop and execute Operations Excellence plans to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement goals.
- Act as a change agent by supporting and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned shift.
- Monitor KPRs and develop action plans to align shift performance with Operations Excellence objectives.
- Participate in daily production meetings to stay informed and ensure shift activities are aligned with plant priorities.
- Participate in employee investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions when required.

Skills & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent progressive experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in soybean crushing, oil refining, oil packaging operations, or other industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other technical software programs as required.
- Ability to work varying hours, weekends, and rotating shift schedules.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement principles is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and engage teams.
