Hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician!

Job Description The Registered Pharmacy Technician provides high-quality customer service and operational support in a fast-paced clinic pharmacy. This role responds to inbound and outbound calls, assists patients and caregivers with pharmacy-related inquiries, performs data entry, and processes new referrals and refills. The technician supports pharmacological services by accurately transcribing prescriptions, maintaining compliant patient records, and ensuring medications are filled and aligned according to the cycle fill calendar. Responsibilities

- Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients, caregivers, and providers while maintaining a high level of customer service and productivity.
- Demonstrate strong customer service, teamwork, punctuality, organization, time management, and problem-solving in daily work.
- Provide support to answer and resolve a wide variety of inquiries related to pharmacy services, prescription status, and delivery timelines.
- Receive and process new pharmacy referrals, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate prior authorization requests as needed.
- Accurately transcribe prescriptions into the pharmacy system, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
- Update patient information in the pharmacy system when necessary to maintain accurate and current records.
- Coordinate initiation of care with patients or caregivers, referral sources, and other providers of care to ensure seamless service.
- Enter patient information into the patient record accurately and completely, maintaining all records in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Essential Skills

- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a board-approved pharmacy technician training program
- Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License
- At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy technician role
- Previous experience in Customer Service or Data Entry required
- Strong knowledge of medication brand and generic names, dosing, and day supply calculations.
- Proficiency with pharmacy operations including data entry, order entry, fulfillment, labeling, inventory, and prior authorization processes.
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Access.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pembroke Pines, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
