Overview

Senior Computer Systems/Network Administrator (HSS)

Bowhead is seeking a Senior Computer Systems/Network Administrator to join our team for our Hawaii Support Services proposal effort in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division Detachment Pacific( NUWCDIVKPT) in Oahu, Hawaii. The Senior Computer Systems/Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency.

Responsibilities

- Must have a strong background in Network switching and TCP/IP protocol analysis.

- Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks.

- Experience with network routers and switch configuration experience. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches.

- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance.

- Perform network modeling and analysis.

- Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives.

- Enforce policies for standardizing systems.

- Answering questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products installed on Windows 11 Computers.

- Applying advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.

- Specific support consists of troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues encountered by users.

- Proficient with ACAS.

- Provide hardware support for PCs, printers, scanners, Common Access Cards (CAC), etc.

- Software support includes but not limited to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and various specialty engineering and scientific development software/tools.

- Installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches and to resolve software related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs).

- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the organizational mailbox to ensure that all users receive timely support in response to their requests for assistance.

- Maintain and develop IT related procedures required to support the organization.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, computer science or related field.

- Seven (7+) or more years in a senior IT Infrastructure role designing, implementing and supporting an enterprise infrastructure environment.

- Required In-depth knowledge and experience in Active Directory, Group policy, DNS, DHCP, WAN/LAN, routing, switching, cybersecurity and general network topology administration.

- Desired experience in classified environments.

- CompTIA Security+ CE Certification/IAT Level II required and latest computer operating system commercial certifications.

- Desired Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) or demonstrable equivalency via experience.

- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

This is a proposal effort the target rates for the contract are from $51.25 to $70.10 hour depending on the role and commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
