About this role

The incumbent in this position works as a warehousing lead and provides lead direction to a minimum of 10-12 employees, missionaries, or volunteers in the receiving and replenishment warehousing function. As a lead, the incumbent performs all the functions of a Warehouse Worker 2, in receiving, stores, and/or shipping functions. The incumbent takes the lead in interviewing applicants to fill vacancies, handles minor disciplinary problems, and assists in performance evaluations of employees.

Schedule will be 4 - 10hr sifts Monday to Thursday. Shift Differential will apply to this role.

- Requires a High School diploma and at least 3 years previous warehousing, material handling, or related work experience. Preference will be given to those who have internal Church warehousing and/or leadership experience. Some college education is preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Basic math skills, Intermediate computer skills with training in inventory control and/or shipping and receiving programs experience required.
- Experience in operating motorized material handling equipment.
- Must be able to physically lift/move/push/pull items (up to 50 lbs. alone or occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. with 2 people), climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps to store/retrieve items, and operate a pallet jack containing up to 2,500 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of functional area of assignment and related systems.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety practices.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices or be willing to attend training in the first year of employment to better understand these principles.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
