Description

- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned facilities and office spaces, furnishings and equipment as well as building entrances and exterior walkways includes picking up rubbish, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows and executing minor repairs and maintenance work.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas, sweep and mop all tiled surfaces.
- Dust or wipe all ledges, windowsills, furniture, counters and partitions.
- Clean doors, frames and light switches.
- Wipe mirrors and windows
- Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling
- Clean, sanitize, and supply bathrooms with necessary provisions
- Clean and service custodial equipment as needed
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks, change lightbulbs, etc.)
- Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting up the alarm
- Ensure outside grounds areas are clean and orderly
- Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards
- Must use proper custodial procedures for the use of manually operated tools, electrically powered machines, cleaning compounds, solvents and chemicals, and more.
- Must abide by rules and regulations of Ohio Occupational Health Administration (OSHA)
- Practices safe work habits and contributes to ensuring a safe and healthful work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Supervisor and the Manager of Facilities, Maintenance & Services.

Requirements

- Highschool diploma/G.E.D.
- Commercial cleaning work experience may be considered in lieu of diploma or G.E.D
- At least two years of commercial cleaning work experience
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Dependable and flexible
- Must be able to travel to other locations if needed
- Abilityto work independently or on a team
- Interacts with children, families, and staff
