About this role
The Substitute Teacher supports the instructional program by maintaining a safe, orderly, and consistent learning environment in alignment with school policies and teacher-provided plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach a variety of courses as assigned.
- Abide by school rules, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with school leadership and other classroom teachers.
- Participate/attend school events when necessary.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A. (or higher)
- Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement (or the ability to obtain a certificate)
- Prior experience working with students in an educational setting (or similar)
- Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and strong classroom-management skills
- Ability to facilitate classroom instruction and carry out teacher's outlined lesson plan
- Support the Catholic identity, values, and mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families
