Position Overview:
Messer is seeking a maintenance and inventory specialist to support the preventative maintenance and reliability programs at the Coolbaugh site in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:
Complete new equipment input into SAP-PM, including task list creation and preventative maintenance scheduling.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of SAP-PM tasks, accounting for appropriate material consumption and labor costs.
Add plant equipment and materials into SAP and manage stocking quantities.
Maintain accurate plant physical inventory counts and upload of inventory data into SAP.
Procure and organize spare parts inventory, maintain critical spares list, and evaluate changes to spares stocking.
Schedule and document equipment calibrations, ensuring timely completion per the IMTE log.
Coordinate third party contractor work for the maintenance team, including trailer inspections, equipment PMs, and corrective repairs.
Create, edit, and manage maintenance and operations procedures as needed to support plant activities.
Support technicians with preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Maintain auditable compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP and NJTCPA standards and policies, plus proactive collaboration with operators and plant management to address safety and quality concerns.
Assist with project document transfer from the Engineering Phase to Operations, including completion of project documentation such as drawings, SOPs, risk assessment/HAZOPs, equipment manuals, etc.
Uphold a collaborative and proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards.
Focus on best practices related to capital equipment cost savings, reduced maintenance costs, and enhanced system reliability.
Administrative and Managerial
Ensure new and existing employees are trained in required procedures and tasks, provide training where qualified.
Foster quality culture, upholding quality control requirements to ensure a quality product is delivered to Messers customers.
Create and maintain a shutdown and turnaround work list and schedule, efficiently use downtime.
Maintain open continuous line of communication with manager.
Complete required SHEQ site and equipment inspection forms.
Help ensure the maintenance team keeps orderly and clean work areas.
Lead and participate in operations and safety meetings.
Participate in safety committee activities as required – drill planning, energy isolation reviews, etc.
Complete all training activities according to schedule and meet annual performance goals.
Mark-up and help update engineering drawings to document changes or disparities.
Identify cost effective solutions, follow company purchasing procedure and spending limitations.
Safety:
Understand and adhere to company safe work policies.
Follow lone worker requirements.
Promote a safe work environment.
Report safety incidents and near misses.
Report any unsafe conditions, environmental concerns, and process problems to management immediately.
Contribute to the improvement of the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality programs.
Apply the HWP process, LOTO and energy isolation procedures as required for company and contractor personnel.
Follow MOC procedure for all changes to process and operating procedures.
Maintain site security and orderliness.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office software.
The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively within Messer and to external clients in person and in writing.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in a related industry OR Bachelors degree, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Maintenance or inventory management experience in a production environment preferred.
