About this role
Choices Markets is seeking a motivated and experienced Bakery Lead Hand to support the daily operations of our bakery department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring high standards of product quality, food safety, customer service, and team execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day bakery operations.
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and merchandising standards are maintained.
- Coordinate production schedules and inventory levels.
- Monitor waste and identify opportunities to improve department performance.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with product inquiries.
- Collaborate with store leadership to achieve sales and operational objectives.
Qualifications
- Previous bakery, food service, or retail leadership experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.
