Job Summary
Location: 10 Main Street, Florence, MA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Are you looking for a great entry-level opportunity to grow your career in healthcare? Our Gastroenterology practice in the heart of Florence is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-service-focused Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our team.

Located right in the center of Florence, this practice offers the convenience of being near great shops, restaurants, and local places to enjoy before or after work. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, creating a positive first impression, and supporting patients and care teams in a busy clinical office setting.

About the Role
In this role, you will help support the daily operations of the practice by welcoming patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and assisting with routine administrative tasks. You will play an important part in creating a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience for patients and staff.

What You’ll Do
• Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Answer phone calls, respond to routine inquiries, and take clear messages.
• Schedule, check in, and check out patients for appointments.
• Maintain appointment records and support patient flow throughout the practice.
• File, scan, print, and manage documents related to patient care and office operations.
• Support routine clerical and administrative tasks such as forms, records, schedules, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with team members to help ensure the practice runs smoothly each day.

• Brings excellent customer service skills and enjoys working with people.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with patients, callers, and team members.
• Is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Has strong attention to detail and follows established processes.
• Is comfortable using office technology, including phones, email, scanning, printing, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Is interested in building experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Office experience preferred; candidates with strong customer service experience are encouraged to apply.
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant certification preferred, but not required.
