About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Buyer to join our Menswear team and make their mark across Casual Shirts and Outerwear. You’ll help shape standout ranges that inspire our customers, combining a sharp product eye with commercial thinking to drive sales, grow the category and play a key part in the continued evolution of M&S Menswear.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include

- Work with Merchandising and all other relevant areas of the business to aggressively trade outerwear.
- Work with Design to interpret and adapt to market trends and direction. Work in collaboration with Sourcing Offices globally.
- Analyse historical sales in line with trends and design direction to manage product mix parameter.
- Present the global range for sign-off and effectively manage systemic elements of the buying process, taking accountability for the timely completion of relevant systemic approvals and processes
- Drive department strategy giving consideration to wider BU, FH&B and Int FH&B strategy

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

- Incredibly strong menswear product eye. Casual Shirts and Outerwear experience is an advantage!
- Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Design, Merchandising and Technology and Global Sourcing Offices
- In-depth knowledge of cost price negotiations and global sourcing
- Confident developing and building a comprehensive product range
- An in-depth knowledge of the current competitive marketplace
