Sr Human Resources Manager Chattanooga, TN | On-Site $110,000 - $140,000 Position Overview A growing manufacturing organization in the Chattanooga area is seeking an experienced Sr Human Resources Manager to lead site-level HR operations and serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership. This individual will be responsible for driving key people initiatives, fostering a positive employee experience, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and supporting the continued growth and success of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in manufacturing HR, employee relations, talent development, and workforce planning. This position plays a critical role in supporting both hourly and salaried employees while helping leaders build and maintain a high-performing workforce. Key Responsibilities

- Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support operational and business objectives.
- Lead day-to-day human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, coaching, compensation administration, and talent development.
- Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee issues, workplace investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Support recruitment efforts, workforce planning initiatives, onboarding activities, and employee retention programs.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to identify opportunities for improvement and support data-driven decision making.
- Lead performance review processes, succession planning efforts, and leadership development initiatives.
- Partner with Environmental, Health & Safety teams to support a culture centered around workplace safety and employee well-being.
- Assist in organizational change initiatives, workforce restructuring efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
- Oversee HR systems, employee records, and reporting to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Mentor and develop HR team members while supporting overall department effectiveness.

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Prior HR experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

- Experience supporting a unionized workforce.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience leading employee engagement, organizational development, and leadership training initiatives.
- Proven success partnering directly with Sr operations leadership.
- Experience managing or mentoring HR professionals.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
