Job Description:
The University of Louisville Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking an experienced, board-certified advanced heart failure cardiologist to join our cardiology faculty in our Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant program. Heart failure cardiologists will perform biopsies , right heart caths , and care for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, mechanical support devices, and transplants. UofL Cardiology has been a successful transplant center since 1984 and is one of the region's leading transplant hospitals , performing heart, lung, hand, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.
T he successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the HF and VAD clinical service , including inpatient and outpatient settings (mid-level providers are available to help) and work collaboratively with our excellent surgical team . Responsibilities include teaching medical students, house staff, cardiology fellows, and an Advanced Heart Failure fellow. The candidate will also participate in clinical trials in heart failure and perform scholarly work . Call is shared within the Section of Heart Failure with the other two physicians.
