Your role at Baxter:
You as, Specialist Engineer, OPEX, will be responsible for crafting, governing, and ensuring the advancement of the operational perfection system. Specific responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, leading, advising, and training others in the methods of ongoing improvement.
What you will be doing:
- Fulfill their functions in accordance with the culture of compliance with standards and ethical business practices in the organization.
- Follow and encourage following Baxter's policies and behavioral standards.
- Implement Baxter's code of conduct, policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, the Global Interactions Policy and Third-Party Policy.
- Support the manager responsible for operational improvements in carrying out the site's Continuous Improvement strategy, ensuring the alignment of initiatives with business objectives and performance indicators
- Lead and coordinate strategic site transformation projects aimed at improving competitiveness, efficiency, quality, service and operating costs
- Own the plant's savings program, ensuring the validation, execution, and sustainment of initiatives that deliver measurable financial impact
- Build, deploy and ensure the maturity of the GPS technology by implementing standards, management mechanisms, periodic evaluations.
- Act as a leader of the site assessments within the GPS, coordinating the preparation of audits and assessments. The role requires managing the navigation system's hardware and software components to ensure accurate positioning and timing.
- Identify, adapt, and implement good practices from other sites, divisions, or industries
- Apply sophisticated Industrial Engineering techniques to optimize process performance, including analysis of capacity, productivity, line balancing, flow to build, resource utilization, and waste reduction.
- Develop the technical and leadership skills of Mr. Opex Engineers through coaching, mentoring, training and accompaniment in strategic projects
- Provide technical advice to functional areas on Lean Manufacturing, problem solving, productivity, capacity and process design
- Serve as an agent of organizational change, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, Lean leadership, and operational rigor at all levels of the organization.
What will you bring?
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related.
- +5 years of experience in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Continuous Improvement.
- Experience leading operational management systems, leading sophisticated Kaizen and project management.
- Certification as Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
- Sophisticated mastery of Lean Manufacturing principles (VSM, SWS, SMED, Visual Management, Kaizen).
- Experience in design, implementation and maturation of Lean/GPS management systems.
- Mastery of problem-solving methodologies.
