Job Summary

This position helps end user devices and provides technical help. A solid background in technical help and customer service is required. Knowledge of client-server relationships, networking, and diverse hardware devices is also necessary for satisfactory results.

Essential Functions of the Role

- Fixes, repairs, replaces computing devices (regardless of platform specifications) data migration, storage repair, and backup.
- Examines, configures, and installs software and licenses; researches best practices.
- Provides liaison help with Information Technology and Audio-Visual vendors and contractors, ensuring the help of managed services in assigned areas.
- Works with related systems (projects, task management system, Knowledgebase articles, daily activities, end user e-mail, and correspondence).
- Interfaces with users, training and education, tutorial, and problem solving.
- Works on troubleshooting technical office equipment and peripherals, such as: Telephony, printer configuration, scanners, technical hospital, and research equipment.
- Works on cabling (IDF maintenance, patching, cleanup, and repair).
- Coordinates and communicates with others to complete work.
- Works On-Call to perform extended and afterhours duties as required or scheduled.
- Performs as a member or project manager. Maintains milestones and practices synergy with high performance. Communicates regularly with leadership on project health and progress.
- Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Key Success Factors

- Experience configuring computer hardware strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with audio/video conferencing equipment preferred.
- Previous experience working in an ITSM environment preferred.
- Advanced computer troubleshooting skills, problem solving abilities, ability to help rational thinking and conclusions.
- Effectively provide audience appropriate communication.
- Professional attitude, dress and customer service skills.
- Exceptional synergy and coordination skills.
- Two or more years of experience in an Information Technology position required.
- Technical certification from a nationally recognized testing provider preferred.
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university, or state college preferred.
- Must possess a valid TX Driver License.

- Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
