Job Title: Senior Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the delivery and installation of products and materials, manage inspections, and ensure the smooth operation of construction projects. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing general contractors and subcontractors, as well as a strong focus on document control and communication with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery and installation of products and materials.
- Manage and oversee inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Provide hands-on management of general contractors and subcontractors.
- Maintain effective document control, including site inspectors' daily reports and progress schedules.
- Communicate effectively with general contractors regarding scheduling, inspections, and site testing.
- Collaborate with project controls, including estimating and scheduling teams.
- Participate in meetings with owners/DGS to report on construction progress.
- Manage the punch list and construction closeout process at the project's end.
- Conduct onsite inspections multiple times a day to ensure all contractors complete their tasks.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in construction and construction management.
- Proven ability to manage change orders.
- Experience managing both general and subcontractors.
- History of onsite management rather than office-based roles.
- Proficiency with Procore or other construction management software.
- Preferred experience in federal construction projects.
- Strong project management and site development skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 10-15 years of project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
Work Environment
This role requires working onsite five days a week. You will be part of a major Construction Management firm with a long-term project on the RFK Campus and the DGS program team, ensuring stable and engaging work opportunities for many years to come.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $72.11/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
