Yard Operations Quality Supervisor

Four Corners Building Supply is looking for a dependable, hands-on leader who takes pride in getting things right. As our Yard Operations Quality Supervisor, you will make sure customer orders are picked, loaded, checked, and documented correctly before they leave the yard.

This is a working leadership position. You will help keep the yard safe and organized, train material handlers, process returned materials, and step in to help load or unload materials when needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Review pick tickets and make sure the correct materials and quantities have been selected.

- Check loaded trucks to confirm that all packs, materials, and hardware match the delivery tickets.

- Take pictures of verified materials and loaded trucks and upload them to Microsoft Teams.

- Help keep the yard clean, safe, organized, and running efficiently.

- Communicate with material handlers, drivers, supervisors, and other departments.

- Processed materials, complete the necessary paperwork, and determine which items should be credited, stored, or culled.

- Maintain a safe and clearly marked area for cull materials.

- Help load and unload building materials when needed.

- Train and coach new and current material handlers on yard procedures, material handling, safety, and company expectations.

- Report damaged materials, order discrepancies, safety concerns, and other problems promptly.

- Encourage teamwork, accuracy, accountability, and safe work practices.

- Handle other duties as assigned.

Experience

- Experience in a lumberyard, warehouse, distribution center, or building-material operation is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

- The ability to read and compare pick tickets, delivery tickets, and material quantities.

- A positive attitude and the ability to train and coach others.

- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

- Basic computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Teams.

- The ability to safely operate material-handling equipment after being properly trained and authorized.

- The ability to work outdoors and perform the physical duties required to load, unload, and handle building materials.
