Job Title: Logistics Planning Analyst I Job Description The primary responsibility of a Logistics Planning Analyst is to coordinate and streamline the movement of materials, products, and workflow both within and across departments to support production schedules. This role involves reviewing, maintaining, and distributing production, work, and shipping schedules, as well as preparing reports related to inventory levels, costs, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities
- Review documents, materials, and products while monitoring work processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Analyze production schedules, work orders, staffing plans, and related documentation to determine resource requirements, material needs, and production priorities.
- Track and maintain production data, including output volumes, raw material usage, and quality control metrics.
- Coordinate the ordering and management of inventory, materials, and supplies necessary to meet production objectives.
- Adjust production schedules as needed in response to design modifications, labor constraints, material shortages, or other operational disruptions.
- Distribute production schedules and work orders to appropriate departments to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Ability to evaluate and analyze manufacturing, labor, and material costs.
- Skilled in accurately documenting and maintaining customer and client information.
- Basic coaching and mentoring abilities, including providing guidance and constructive performance feedback.
- Understanding of applicable regulations and requirements related to production and shipping operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Work Environment This role is primarily based in an office setting and involves mostly individual work focused on documentation, data analysis, and coordination activities. You will work within a structured team environment that includes full-time staff and agency personnel, supported by multiple leaders. Daily work relies heavily on standard office technology, including computers and MS Office applications such as Word and Excel. The environment emphasizes accuracy, organization, and consistent communication to support smooth production and logistics operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Pontiac, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
