CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Practice Leader (Architecture) to provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership for our Architecture Team in Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; Syracuse, NY; or Portland, ME . In this role, you will drive practice growth, operational performance, and project excellence while empowering teams, strengthening client partnerships, and advancing CHA's impact on the communities we serve.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of architects and design professionals while maintaining strong awareness of morale and engagement
- Drive the growth and strategic direction of the Architecture practice, positioning the Business Practice as a recognized industry leader
- Ensure design excellence, exceptional project delivery, and high client satisfaction
- Lead financial performance—setting targets, managing budgets, and optimizing key metrics
- Guide technical and project delivery standards across the practice
- Align staffing and resources to support project and business needs
- Champion cross‑practice collaboration to enhance efficiency and enterprise success
- Advance business development efforts, representing the practice in proposals, interviews, and market outreach
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive industry experience required
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to position the practice for growth and delivery excellence
- Deep understanding of Architecture Business Practice operations, future service opportunities, and market needs
- Demonstrated financial management experience with solid P&L comprehension
- Persuasive, articulate communicator—effective one on one, in teams, and with large groups
- High energy, results oriented leader with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong ability to manage confidential information, resolve issues quickly, and drive initiatives to completion
- Proven relationship builder skilled in motivating teams and fostering cross organizational collaboration
- Professional technical licensure required or equivalent professional experience
