Job Title: Toddler Program Lead Teacher (Full-Time), Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy

We're looking for someone who's nurturing, energetic, and committed to creating a positive, safe, and enriching environment for toddlers.
Duties:
- Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with the YMCA's values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring
- Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities-arts & crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and more
- Support positive behavior and foster social-emotional growth
- Supervise daily routines like meals, free play, and playground time
- Build strong, positive relationships with families and conduct regular parent-teacher conferences
- Maintain accurate classroom and program records
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and family engagement events
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CDA credential or a related college degree
- Completion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)
- 6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience
- Able to lift up to 40lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoors
- Pass a 10-panel drug screen.
- Clear a Level 2 background check*
