25 & 26 Main Acute Care Unit Description

The Acute Care Unit (25 & 26 Main) is a 31-bed, dynamic unit caring for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma, neurology/stroke, and oncology patients.

As a Clinical Technician, you’ll play a key role in hands-on patient care, working closely with nurses and providers in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Clinical Technician 2 – Job Responsibilities:

- Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.

- Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.

- Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

- Training : Must be available six (6) for non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)

- Virtual training modules.

- Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)

- On-unit shifts

- May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

- Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completed an acute care clinical rotations, and actively enrolled in a nursing program

- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire

- Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English

- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
