Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking HVAC Apprentice to join our team and learn the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning trade under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role involves learning the installation, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues under supervision.

- Help install and connect ductwork, piping, and electrical components.

- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

- Follow all safety regulations and industry standards.

- Assist in testing HVAC systems for proper operation.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization at job sites.

- Support HVAC technicians and supervisors with daily tasks.

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability and willingness to learn HVAC installation, service, maintenance, and repair procedures.

- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the direction of journeyman-level technicians and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in construction or HVAC is a plus but not required

- Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, materials, and terminology.

- Basic understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration principles, ductwork, and/or HVAC controls.

- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or construction drawings.

Work Conditions & Requirements:

- Ability to reach horizontal and overhead.

- Ability to stand, walk, and balance for 6-8 hours a day.

- Ability to lift/carry up to 10 pounds for 6-8 hours a day.

- Ability to work around moving machinery and equipment.

- Ability to work in varying weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures.

- May include exposure to heat, humidity, cold, chemicals, hazardous waste, and airborne agents.
