Responsibilities
- Assists Payroll Manager in entering weekly and semimonthly payrolls into CDK as well as related payroll journal entries
- Updating employee payroll records with changes like address updates, salary adjustments, and leave accruals.
- Maintaining employee payroll files, ensuring all documents are properly documented and organized.
- Assists Payroll Manager with onboarding of new hires and completion of onboarding process in the payroll system
- Assists managers and employees in proper paperwork procedures and maintains compliance with onboarding steps, including I-9 completion and E-Verify as needed
- Sets up new hires in the HR & Payroll system once Onboarding is completed
- Keeps all payroll-related filing up to date
- Provides employment verifications
- Assists employees with payroll related questions
- Assists employees with Paylocity user account issues, accessing paystubs and year-end tax forms
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Basic understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
- Good communication skills to interact with employees and other departments
