Environmental Scientist CONTRACT: Expected to run through Summer 2027 MUST BE LOCAL: NO MILEAGE or PER DIEM PROVIDED Work starts Oct. 15 Typical hours: on-site, M-F 8 am- 5 pm. Some OT hours in the beginning of the project . Description
- Conduct environmental field investigations and site assessments.
- Log soil borings and document subsurface conditions.
- Collect soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and soil gas samples.
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily logs, boring logs, sampling logs, and site photographs.
- Assist with sample preparation, labeling, and coordination of field activities.
- Support environmental data review and evaluation.
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports and project deliverables.
- Follow health and safety procedures and utilize PPE during field operations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality, compliance, and successful project execution.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related field, preferred
- 2+ years of experience with environmental field testing

- Has a reliable source of transportation

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
