Job Title:  Janitor

Reports to:  Branch Manager

Type of position: Part-time

Hours : Main branch: Friday nights and weekends.  Uptown branch: 2-3 days per week

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across two small bank branches. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff and customers by performing routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors

- Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners as needed

- Mop tile and hard floors; vacuum carpets and rugs

- Dust surfaces including desks, counters, shelves, and windowsills

- Clean kitchen and breakroom areas: wipe down appliances, counters, tables, and sinks

- Clean interior glass surfaces and entryway doors

- Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, teller areas, and waiting spaces

- Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers

- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to management

- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocks when necessary

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred

- Ability to work independently and manage time across two locations

- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

- Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
