About this role
Determines the eligibility of children for enrollment in Baltimore County Public Schools under the shared domicile living arrangement provision of Superintendent’s Rule 5150. Assists schools in determining eligibility for student enrollment based on residency. Assists pupil personnel workers in residency investigations. Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Training and Experience :
Possession of an associate of arts degree or the completion of 60 college credits. Four years’ experience in human services, investigations, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of modern office practices.
Knowledge of personal computers and software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and Schoology) . Knowledge of Baltimore County Public Schools’ policies and rules governing the enrollment of students.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability of strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Knowledge of the English language including grammar and spelling.
Knowledge of procedures and ability for conducting investigations aimed at verifying the residency of students and their parents/guardians.
Knowledge of and ability to maintain effective working relationships with parents, students, administrators, and other community members.
Skill and ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS :
Work involves travel to homes, offices, and schools throughout Baltimore County.

Salary: $18.03 per hour

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- All Baltimore County Public Schools employees, both regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (per COMAR) completed. The fee for fingerprinting is $109.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.
- If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214.
- Official transcripts will be required upon hire and must be sent via eScript/Clearinghouse from your university.
- Some positions will require employees to undergo a physical examination and/or drug testing.
- All newly hired personnel must attend a Benefits and Retirement Orientation meeting.
- Additional job verification will be required for salary credit.
