Prepress & Production Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Prepress & Production Specialist to prepare customer files for print, support large-format production, and assist with print estimates. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, technically skilled, and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepress (Primary Duties)

- Preflight and prepare customer files for digital and large-format printing

- Review artwork for resolution, bleed, color accuracy, and print readiness

- Make necessary file corrections in Adobe Creative Suite to add bleeds and impose files for printing

- Set up and rip files for digital presses and wide-format printers

Large-Format & Production Support

- Operate large-format printers, cutters, laminators, and related finishing equipment (training provided)

- Assist with trimming, mounting, laminating, and finishing signage and graphics

- Perform quality checks to ensure accurate and consistent output

- Help maintain equipment and production workspaces

Estimating & Workflow Assistance

- Assist in preparing print estimates using our MIS/job ticket system

- Review materials, production steps, and timelines for incoming jobs

- Coordinate with sales and production teams to ensure job accuracy

General Duties

- Maintain organized digital files and job records

- Support bindery and finishing tasks as needed

- Assist with customer service interactions when necessary

- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Preferred:

- Familiarity with large-format printing equipment a plus

Required:

- Prepress and print production experience

- Strong proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Photoshop

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Schedule & Compensation

- Full-time, Monday–Friday

- Pay based on experience
