About this role

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter / Designer to join our team in La Place, Louisiana . This is a full-time, on-site position supporting engineering, inspection, and asset integrity projects for industrial and petrochemical facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical drawings, updating facility documentation, incorporating field redlines, and supporting engineering and operations teams with accurate design deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial drafting, experience working with piping and equipment drawings, and proficiency in AutoCAD within refinery, petrochemical, or related industrial environments. Relevant internal role descriptions emphasize independent drafting capability, knowledge of petrochemical facility layouts, and advanced AutoCAD proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, revise, and maintain AutoCAD drawings for piping, equipment, and facility systems.

- Develop and update P&IDs, isometrics, and equipment layout drawings.

- Incorporate field markups, redlines, and engineering revisions into existing drawings.

- Perform drawing quality reviews and document control activities.

- Assist engineering and inspection personnel with field data collection and drawing verification.

- Maintain compliance with company drafting standards and client requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD drafting/design experience in industrial, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, and/or related facilities.

- 2-year degree in mechanical drafting, design technology, AutoCAD, or other related discipline.

- Proficiency with AutoCAD and technical drawing development.

- Experience interpreting and modifying:

- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

- Isometric Drawings

- General Arrangement Drawings

- Equipment Layouts

- Plot Plans

- Strong understanding of industrial facility systems and equipment.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to for full-time work on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

- AutoCAD certification or advanced drafting training.

- Experience with refinery or petrochemical facility projects.
