POSITION IS A 3 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE TO START COULD POTENTIALLY BE EXTENDED LONGER! Responsibilities
- Deliver a high volume of purchasing transactions on a daily basis.
- Proactively and assertively negotiate with suppliers for anything from commodities to shipping terms to avoid excess cost and purchase price variance.
- Manage Past Due deliveries, Pull-ins, Push-outs, and Cancellations on a daily basis.
- Identify risk parts and escalate to management.
- Execute MRP actions consistent with purchasing policies.
- Quickly resolve nonconforming material with suppliers, customers, and internal Quality and Engineering teams.
- Work with Accounting to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile open order reports.
- Ensure system updates, such as material lead times, are accurate.
- Prepare RFQs as required.
- Support programs as assigned from Planning, Strategic Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality.
- Send automated requirements out weekly to all relevant Target Suppliers.
- Follow through with purchasing-related workflows and metrics.
- Review excess material and dispositions on a monthly basis.
- Action non-conforming material (MRB) on a weekly basis.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of successful direct procurement experience in a fast-paced environment of an electronics contract manufacturing company.
- Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
- Skilled in purchasing tasks within ERP/MRP systems such as Manex and Spotlight.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure critical tasks are completed first while allowing all other activities to be completed in a timely manner.
- Proactive approach, assessing what needs to be done and taking the initiative.
- Negotiation experience and comfort to negotiate with the supply base.
- Excellent communication skills, clear in verbal communications, ensuring written communications are professional, thorough, accurate, and timely.
Work Environment The role is based onsite, providing the potential for contract-to-hire with access on a month-to-month basis

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
