We are hiring an Operations Manager at our Save-On-Foods location in Squamish, BC.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
- Delivering operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations.
- Assisting with team member related matters (e.g., recruitment, training, performance management, rewards/recognition, succession planning, administration of the collective agreement (if applicable), and conflict resolution).
- Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ensuring the successful implementation of strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
- Reviewing and analyzing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
- Supporting the Assistant Store Manager in reviewing and analyzing income statements and working with the management team to identify opportunities to meet targets, grow profit and improve store performance.
- Supporting inventory and stocktaking in all areas of the store.
- Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.

You have:

- 2-3 years of experience leading a team and supporting store operations.
- Food Safe Certification.
- A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
- Experience working in the Fresh department(s) in a retail environment is an asset.
- Experience and/or knowledge with:  Achieving sales targets and profitability.
- Financial planning and budgeting.
- Developing and executing merchandising plans.
- Human Resources (e.g. recruitment and onboarding, health and safety, coaching and mentoring).
- Employee/Labour Relations, workforce planning and scheduling considerations.
- Health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

- Proficiency with computer applications.
