Responsibilities:
- Define, champion and oversee enterprise-wide data security governance standards and frameworks that enable secure data usage and mitigate associated risks across the end-to-end data lifecycle.
- Ensure data security governance standards and frameworks holistically address the unique challenges of agentic AI, real-time and unstructured data use.
- Drive communication, messaging and alignment on data security governance standards and outcomes, at all organisational level.
- Partner with risk management and technology leadership to define and execute data security governance initiatives.
- Continuously refine and improve data security governance frameworks to address emerging data security risks, technology developments, evolving DBS data and AI use cases, and changes in the regulatory landscape.
- Engage stakeholders across business and technology units to foster a strong data risk management mindset and provide guidance on data security practices.
- Establish and embed data security risk controls to oversee and validate the implementation of data security governance standards.
- Define, monitor and report on key risk indicators and data security governance outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data security governance specialists, cultivating a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or data science.
- Subject matter expertise in data security, CISO, Cybersecurity or risk management.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional data security initiatives from conception through to successful implementation.
- In-depth understanding of data security risks and controls across the data lifecycle, and data security governance areas such as discovery, classification, data access and data protection.
- Deep expertise in implementation of enterprise data security frameworks, controls, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of data regulations, risk management, and compliance obligations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to drive a mindset change towards data security and literacy
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire diverse audiences.
- Capable of fostering a culture of change readiness and championing the adoption of new processes or behaviours.
