Commercial Sheet Metal Installer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Company: Crete United
Pay: up to $40 per hour (DOE)
Crete United is seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial sheet metal installation experience and be comfortable working on commercial HVAC and mechanical systems in a variety of jobsite environments.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems according to plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and ductwork layouts.
- Measure, cut, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components.
- Install rectangular and spiral ductwork, fittings, dampers, grilles, registers, and related HVAC components.
- Ensure ductwork is properly supported, sealed, insulated, and installed according to applicable codes and standards.
- Work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Coordinate with other trades and project team members on active commercial construction sites.
- Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment required for sheet metal installation.
- Identify and communicate potential installation issues or field changes to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial sheet metal installation experience required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork installation and sheet metal practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and install sheet metal.
- Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship.
