About this role
We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician who wants to continue developing their skills and build a long-term career in the fire alarm industry.
Responsibilities:
You'll work on commercial fire alarm installation, service, inspection, testing and troubleshooting throughout the Greater Philadelphia, South Jersey and surrounding markets.
Depending on your experience, you'll work independently and alongside our Lead Technicians on:
- Commercial fire alarm installations
- Fire alarm panel replacements and system upgrades
- Device installation and wiring
- SLC and NAC circuits
- Notification appliance systems
- Power supplies and auxiliary equipment
- Sprinkler monitoring and supervisory devices
- Fire pump monitoring
- Elevator recall and related interfaces
- HVAC shutdown
- Door release and other life-safety interfaces
- System & acceptance testing and commissioning
- Troubleshooting and service
- Fire alarm inspections
Most importantly, we don't want you doing the exact same thing three years from now that you're doing today.
As your abilities grow, we'll work to expand your exposure to troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, project leadership and other advanced fire alarm work.
Qualifications:
Our ideal B-Level Technician has approximately 2–5+ years of fire alarm experience and can perform much of the day-to-day work of the trade with limited supervision.
We're looking for someone with experience in areas such as:
- Commercial fire alarm installation
- Reading fire alarm drawings and wiring diagrams
- Installing and terminating initiating and notification devices
- SLC and NAC wiring
- Fire alarm control panels and remote power supplies
- Troubleshooting basic system conditions
- Testing and inspection
- Sprinkler/fire alarm interfaces
- Using meters and appropriate testing equipment
- Understanding basic NFPA 72 requirements
- Documenting completed work professionally
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
Certifications & Systems:
- NICET certification is preferred but not required for the right candidate. If you've already earned NICET Level I or II, we absolutely want to talk with you.
- If you haven't earned NICET yet but have solid field experience and want to pursue certification, we want to help you get there.
- Experience with Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, NOTIFIER, Potter, Edwards/EST, Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Simplex or similar commercial fire alarm platforms is valuable.
- Strong fundamentals and the ability to learn.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Hours: No less than 40.0 per week
