About this role
About Ornn
Ornn is building the financial infrastructure for AI compute. Our price indices are live on Bloomberg Terminal. We structure and trade compute hedging instruments. And we're now building a platform that brings exchange-grade mechanics like order management, matching, scheduling, and settlement to how compute capacity gets reserved and allocated. We're a lean team in New York, backed by leading venture and strategic investors.
About the Role
######
You’ll design the products buyers and sellers use to discover, price, trade, and manage compute.
The work spans both market-facing and infrastructure-heavy workflows: listings and search, pricing and quotes, reservations and contracts, delivery tracking, portfolio management, and the systems behind the capacity itself.
You will sit with the people who run the market, learn how compute actually gets priced and delivered, decide what the product should be, and then build the design foundation the rest of the company works from. You will partner directly with engineering, product, and the markets team, and your work will be the surface customers judge Ornn by.
What You'll Do
######
- Designing intuitive experiences for complex compute and market workflows
- Simplifying technical systems and concepts into clear, usable products
- Shaping how users discover, buy, sell, price, and transact compute
- Making complex data and market information easy to understand
- Designing for a wide range of users, from technical operators to less specialized customers
- Building interaction patterns and design systems that can scale with the product
- Turning ambiguous problems into clear product direction through customer insight, iteration, and close collaboration with the team
What We're Looking For
######
Requirements
######
- 2 or more years of working experience and have owned meaningful product areas independently.
- You deeply care about the needs of customers, and implications/the experience of your designs.
- You have strong opinions but can still kill them,
- You have strong visual taste and care about creating visually appealing interfaces
- Comfort working close to engineering, whether you prototype in code yourself or collaborate tightly enough that handoff is seamless.
- You enjoy turning ambiguous, conceptual problems into clear mental models and intuitive flows that help users understand the product quickly.
- Genuine curiosity about the compute market. You do not need to know it yet, but you need to want to learn it.
- Willingness to work in person in New York.
