Job Summary:
Primary Function

To perform product evaluations.

- May provide limited guidance to junior staff for projects as required
- Collaborates with other Engineers and Technicians, ensures communication with administrative personnel and account managers

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Include all essential job functions
- This section should include the primary day-to-day responsibilities & activities of the position. These should represent the “core” of the job duties.
- To conduct test programs on consumer products and prepare the associated documentation, including collecting and reviewing data and writing reports.
- Assumes responsibility for the completion of assigned projects within negotiated time and cost schedules.
- Works under general supervision.
- Reviews programs and identifies further needs to the customer.
- Communicates with customers and other stakeholders as needed.
- Researches standards and equipment. Designs and may build test set ups and equipment.

- Physical labor anticipated for many programs
- Client contact and vendor relations will be part of the duties
6) Preferred Education &
Experience
- List the minimum amount of education and/or experience required to perform the job. Be specific in terms of the type of experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- At least 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory or research and development/testing role (for Technician IV, an Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience preferred)
- Must have knowledge of laboratory equipment; machine shop experience preferred
- Computer knowledge necessary
