About the Role

You will work as an experienced Pharmacy Technician, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills within a clinical trials pharmacy environment. As an active member of the clinical trials pharmacy team, you will support pharmacists in the delivery of clinical trial pharmacy services, working with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide clinical trial support, including completion of trial documentation, stock management, trial dispensing, monitoring and billing.
- Dispense prescriptions and inpatient medicines for checking by a pharmacist.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of trial pharmaceuticals, consumables and stationery.
- Undertake aseptic preparation in support of clinical trials, including cytotoxic, biohazard and sterile preparations.

Classification: TH10 ($65,000 per annum, pro rata for part time)

Your Contribution

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Certificate IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent qualification awarded by a Registered Training Organisation.
- Previous clinical trials pharmacy technician experience (preferred) .
- Sterile compounding experience (preferred) .
- Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (essential) .
- Advanced computer knowledge and skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A valid Australian work visa.
- A current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one.

About Pharmacy

St Vincent's Hospital Pharmacy Department provides decentralised pharmacy services from several satellite pharmacies located within patient treatment areas. We provide pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatients and correctional facilities. Pharmacy Technicians are an integral part of the pharmacy support team, working alongside pharmacists within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment to deliver patient-focused care.
