POSITION: Technical Service Specialist

LOCATION: 1335 Litton Dr., Salisbury, NC 28147

JOB DUTIES: Provide technical marketing support of our existing North American products used in the field, specifically the ArmorWall Plus product line. Respond to customer and distributor inquiries, develop new technical content supporting the use and benefits of our product lines, conduct hands on product training  with customers and distribution partners, conduct field installation training and onsite jobsite observations, participate in new product launches, and aid in the sales growth of our existing product line. Demonstrate technical expertise to sales professionals, distributors, customer and other internal/external partners by providing deep understanding of product applications, competitive products, installation guidance including warranty considerations and understanding of product limitations. Provide job site technical support with our distribution partners. Support preparation of product labels and directions for use, assuring accuracy and consistency. Help develop and assure accuracy of sales and marketing promotional literature. Leverage technical knowledge of building envelope products and their applications to meet customer needs. Resolve issues by holistically defining the problem, gathering, measuring, and analyzing the appropriate data, and developing effective solutions consistent with the results of the data. Perform laboratory measurements of competitive products to develop technical marketing literature supporting the benefits of the product line. Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to address the technical needs of the customer. Ensure the quality of products is always aligned with customer expectations. Ensure the protection of intellectual property, trade secrets, and warranty claims. Participate in industry associations to enhance the image and strengthen our business position within the industry. 40% domestic travel required.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, industrial Technology, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered, or a related occupation.

Applicant must have one (1) year of demonstrated experience in each of the following:

- Technical and engineering experience to answer questions related to manufacturer’s product and relevant building codes and standards, as well as experience applying those codes and standards.
- Creating technical installation guidelines for new products, through hands-on practice and coordination with R&D.
- Providing technical analysis of competitive products and creating technical marketing literature to support the sales organization in winning versus the competitive products.

Applicant must have three (3) months of demonstrated experience in each of the following:

- Working in the Build Construction Industry, specifically providing technical support of a manufacturer’s product.
- Reading and editing construction details to ensure alignment with manufacturer’s requirements.
- Conducting technical installation training, onsite, of building construction products.
- Performing jobsite observation, identifying discrepancies between installation and manufacturer’s requirements, and suggesting repair methods to align with manufacturer’s requirements and the building code requirements.

OFFERED WAGE: $89,690 - $98,658/year
