Dishwasher Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs, depending on the workplace
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Properly wash, rinse, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organized
- Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately
- Maintain clean floors and work surfaces
- Follow instructions from cooks, chefs, and management
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is helpful but not always required
- Food-handler certification may be required depending on local regulations
