NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technology (O&T) group is the shared services organization that provides the company with a broad portfolio of services and capabilities including media and studio operations, international operations, real estate, infrastructure, security and technology. The O&T group provides global support to NBCUniversal with a 2000+ strong workforce and is a critical to the growth and success of the company.

Job Description

This position, which is located in our Sydney office, assists the Facilities Manager, ANZ. We are looking for a dynamic individual to take on this diverse role. You will have the opportunity to work across all facets of our business with variety in the job from day to day.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and be comfortable dealing with face-to-face customer service and have the energy and enthusiasm reflected in our industry.

This role would suit someone entering the administrative landscape, who is willing to further their knowledge. Working predominately with the Facilities Manager, ANZ, the role will enable this person to learn on the job and develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Facilities & Office Operations

- Assist with workplace inspections and identify maintenance or operational issues
- Liaise with the Base Building Management and use the Internal Portal for office maintenance issues
- Ensure a consistently clean, safe, and fully stocked office environment through proactive daily checks
- Kitchen and Break Out Room duties
- Oversee the presentation and readiness of meeting rooms
- Ensure printers are always full of paper and toners are replaced when necessary
- Assist as required for all offices located in ANZ region

2. Workplace Services & Employee Support

- Help manage facilities outlook inbox and coordination of facilities requests
- Assist with Sydney L33 Hosting space bookings
- Support with Joiner/Mover/Leaver process including office inductions
- Cover reception lunch break
- Ensure notice boards are accurate and maintained across ANZ offices

3. Events & Hospitality Support

- Assist teams and Executive Assistants with catering and event preparation
- Assist with in-house events

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

- Fire warden and/or First Aid duties when required
- Attend Environment, Health and Safety meetings when required

5. Ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications

Basic Requirements :

- Able to work on-site at the Sydney office three days per week.
- High level customer focus and delivery.
- Positive attitude in a busy and sometimes pressured environment.
- Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work proactively as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. 
- Strong time-management skills and ability to multitask
- Solid command of the English language, written and verbal.

Desired Characteristics:

- Passion and understanding of the media industry

This part-time internship requires a 9-month commitment from March 2027 to December 2027.
