Introduction
We are looking for a QC Inspector to join our Quality Department within the POWERTRACK business area. In this role, you will be responsible for incoming material inspection, in-process quality control, and final machine inspection, ensuring products meet Metso’s quality standards and customer expectations. You will report to the Quality Director. This role is based in Changzhou, China.
Team you will belong to
You will join the Quality Department and work closely with production, suppliers, and quality management teams. The team is responsible for maintaining product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence across manufacturing activities.
What you’ll do
- Perform incoming material inspections, in-process inspections, and final machine inspections in accordance with company quality standards.
- Handle production line quality issues and follow up corrective actions for internal and supplier-related nonconformities until closure.
- Monitor supplier improvement actions and verify implementation effectiveness; conduct on-site audits and coaching when required.
- Complete inspection reports accurately and maintain inspection records and original quality data.
- Implement nonconforming product control procedures, including identification, segregation, and disposition of defective products.
- Carry out routine checks, maintenance, and upkeep of inspection equipment and measuring tools.
- Maintain 5S standards within inspection and quality control areas.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the company or management.
What you’ll bring
- Technical secondary school diploma or above.
- At least 3 years of experience in the machinery or manufacturing industry.
- Ability to read and understand welding and assembly drawings.
- Proficiency in using common measuring instruments such as calipers, height gauges, and coating thickness gauges.
- Strong sense of responsibility, execution capability, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime when required.
