Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Quality Technician. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Prepares product samples for audit review.
- Responsible for production quality checks.
- Inspect incoming material quality of steel, plastics, chemicals, and other items as needed.
- Read and understand part prints and measure accordingly.
- Understand, use, and calibrate measurement instruments.
- Operate power equipment (Saws, drills, etc.).
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and Team Lead.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience using Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn in-house software products.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Be able to lift from varying heights and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must have experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Must understand fractions, decimals, and standard metric units of measurement.
- Incumbent must be available for overtime and travel for training and auditing
