About this role
Procure primary and secondary packaging materials such as PVC/PVDC, aluminium foil, blister packs, bottles, caps, labels, cartons, leaflets, shippers, and other packaging components.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial conditions.
Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved purchase requirements.
Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Stores, R&D, and Planning teams for material requirements.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and prevent production shortages.
Maintain supplier records, quotations, comparative statements, POs, and procurement documentation.
Coordinate with QA/QC for supplier approval, specifications, artwork, samples, and quality-related requirements.
Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, price, and service.
Handle purchase-related issues such as shortages, rejection, delayed deliveries, and replacement materials.
Support cost-reduction and alternate-supplier development initiatives.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company SOPs, GMP requirements, and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
Maintain accurate purchase and vendor data in ERP systems.
