About the job

We are looking for a Project Manager with proven hands-on experience in running customer projects. You will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects, including decanter and evaporation systems, as well as more complex projects involving combined technologies for industrial and municipal wastewater (IWW and MWW). This role requires managing projects with varying levels of complexity and business impact, with a strong focus on handling diverse external stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors.

- Lead and manage a wide range of external projects, taking full ownership of projects involving decanter, evaporation systems, and combined technologies for industrial and municipal wastewater (IWW and MWW), ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Develop project plans tailored to the specific requirements of decanter, evaporation, and combined technology projects, coordinating with different stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery across diverse and complex projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks associated with decanter, evaporation, and combined technology projects, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage changes, including minor adjustments, to the project scope, schedule, and costs for a variety of project types.
- Oversee the installation of decanter, evaporation, and combined technology equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all systems meet performance and reliability standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for each project type.

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Copenhagen office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 10–20 days per year.

What you know

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully running customer projects across a variety of technologies.
- Experience managing customers, external stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors is essential.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage, as is experience within decanter, evaporation, and combined technology projects for industrial and municipal wastewater.
