Reporting to the Head of ESH, this is an opportunity to make your mark in a newly created leadership role, shaping and establishing a best-in-class Facilities Management function across our UK and Ireland operations. With responsibility for facilities management across 3 legal entities, you will develop and execute a strategic roadmap that enhances safety, drives statutory compliance, improves operational performance and delivers long-term value across a complex multi-site estate. As the organisation's senior FM leader, you will build and develop a high-performing team, strengthen contractor and supplier partnerships, and create a future-focused facilities strategy that supports business growth. This role is ideal for an ambitious leader who thrives on building capability, influencing at a senior level and leaving a lasting legacy, while ensuring our sites remain safe, compliant, efficient and fit for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive UK & Ireland Facilities Management strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Lead the relationship with our outsourced Facilities Management partner, ensuring contractual compliance, service excellence, KPI performance, governance, cost control and continuous improvement across all UK & Ireland locations.
- Create and deliver a multi-year facilities roadmap covering compliance, maintenance, capital investment, sustainability and workplace improvements.
- Lead all aspects of statutory and regulatory compliance across the estate, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and best practice.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes across manufacturing, engineering and office environments.
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for estate optimisation, efficiency improvements and future investment.
- Develop governance frameworks, KPIs and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility of performance and risk.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, energy management programmes and environmental improvements across the portfolio.
- Manage facilities budgets and capital expenditure programmes effectively.
What We're Looking For
- Significant senior facilities management leadership experience within a complex, multi-site environment.
- Proven track record of managing outsourced FM contracts and supplier performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale facilities operations across geographically dispersed locations.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, building systems, health and safety legislation and risk management.
- Experience developing and delivering strategic FM roadmaps and long-term asset management plans.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant operational and capital budgets.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of engaging at executive level.
- IWFM membership or relevant professional accreditation advantageous.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or technical environments would be highly beneficial.
