Equities Synthetic Client Ops is seeking a professional who is looking to partner with our business and other internal and external stakeholders to provide market leading business enablement and risk and control services.

Our team of critical thinkers partners with groups in all areas of the firm to perform financial analytics, reporting, data analytics, and engineering. Our division also provides critical operations design and handles capital markets operations to ensure business flows smoothly across our global offices. From day one, team members play a vital role in upholding the three Operations principles of client focus, process innovation, and risk management.

Equities Synthetic Client Ops provides front to back post-execution support to all equity based derivative activity in Asia. The Middle Office team has critical focus on front office day to day risk and trading surveillance, new issuances, client service, corporate actions processing and strategic firm and business infrastructure projects.

The team acts as first point of contact for the various Equities Trading desks, assisting in the execution of both new client and hedging activity. Clients execute trades across a range of products e.g., Cash Eq, Futures, Swaps etc. and it is the team’s responsibility to ensure positions are booked and maintained correctly in our risk systems. There is a strong emphasis on knowledge and expertise which requires that all team members are fully versed in products and systems used as well as the processes and procedures that must be followed when performing day to day tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the front-to-back post-execution support framework for Equity Derivatives and Synthetic products across Asia, ensuring robust control, operational excellence, and seamless client service delivery
- Act as a senior partner to Trading, Sales, Structuring, Engineering, Compliance, and other federation teams to drive business enablement, risk mitigation, and strategic growth initiatives
- Provide oversight of daily risk and trading surveillance, lifecycle event management, corporate actions, complex client activity, and exception management across the Equities Synthetic business
- Drive operational strategy and transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance scalability, automate processes, improve controls, and optimize the client experience
- Lead the management and execution of new product launches, business expansion initiatives, and regulatory change programs, ensuring operational readiness and effective governance
- Serve as an escalation point for complex operational, client, and risk-related issues, exercising sound judgment to deliver timely and commercially appropriate resolutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally, influencing decision-making and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promoting operational excellence, continuous improvement, and talent development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 3 (Associate) and 6 years (Executive Director) of experience in Equities Operations, Middle Office, Prime Brokerage, Derivatives Operations, or a relevant Markets Operations function within a global financial institution
- Strong understanding of Equity Derivatives, Synthetic products, Cash Equities, Futures, Swaps, and associated trade lifecycle management
- Proven track record of managing operational risk, control frameworks, and complex front-to-back processes within a fast-paced trading environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams, influencing stakeholders, and delivering strategic business initiatives
- Strong client orientation with experience partnering closely with Trading, Sales, and external clients to deliver effective solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and make risk-based decisions
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions and functions
- Experience leading process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives using data-driven approaches
- Ability to prioritize effectively, manage competing demands, and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; relevant industry certifications are advantageous

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Strong knowledge of APAC Equity Derivatives markets and market infrastructure
- Experience leading regional or global projects across Operations and Front Office stakeholders
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to balance client needs, operational efficiency, and risk management objectives
- Proven ability to drive change and deliver measurable business impact through innovation and process transformation
