Cyber Security Architect

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join our growing Information and Cyber Security Team in our Headquarters, in Athens.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Architecture & Operations Manager, the successful candidate will define and drive the security architecture of our on-premises and cloud technology landscape, embedding security-by-design across the Group.

This is a hands-on, technical architecture role. Alongside design, the successful candidate will apply their architectural depth to support day-to-day security operations — participating directly in the configuration and implementation of the security controls they design. A strong technical background is therefore mandatory.

Responsibilities:

Security Architecture

- Define, maintain, and evolve security reference architectures, patterns, and technical baselines for on-premises and cloud environments, promoting a security-by-design approach;
- Perform architecture and design reviews for new and existing systems, applications, and cloud workloads; produce threat models and risk-based, implementable recommendations;
- Contribute to the authoring and upkeep of the Group's technical security standards (e.g., General and Core Technical Security Standards) and assess solutions for compliance against them;
- Design the security architecture of core security platforms — Privileged Access Management (PAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and identity — aligned with business and regulatory needs;
- Embed security controls into the SDLC and into Infrastructure-as-Code / DevSecOps pipelines;
- Provide security architecture input into the adoption of GenAI / AI and other emerging technologies;
- Translate security designs into working configurations — participating directly in the implementation, integration, and tuning of security controls and platforms;
- Support the day-to-day operations, configuration, and hardening of the cloud security platforms, applying architectural knowledge to troubleshooting and optimization;
- Coordinate and take part in vulnerability management activities — security assessments, penetration tests, analysis of results, and remediation across infrastructure and cloud;
- Support detection engineering and security control tuning in collaboration with SOC / SIEM operations;
- Identify, communicate, and manage current and emerging security threats with relevant stakeholders;

General

- Participate in security-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope;
- Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization;
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, threats, and regulatory changes;
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

- MSc in Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 4 years of dedicated Cyber Security experience relevant to Security Architect, Cloud Security Engineer / Architect, Cyber Security Engineer.
- A strong, hands-on technical background is mandatory — proven ability to understand technical detail in depth and to participate directly in the configuration, integration, and implementation of security controls and platforms (not design only).
- Demonstrable experience designing and configuring security solutions across on-premises and cloud.
- Information Security industry certifications any two or more of the following: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100), Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500 / SC-200), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, security architecture frameworks (SABSA / TOGAF), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English.
