Project Management Office Manager

Saab Technologies Poland Sp. z o.o. (STPL) is seeking a skilled and proactive professional to join our Project Management Office (PMO) operating in the defence sector. The primary responsibility of the PMO Manager is to establish and manage Saab Group’s in-country investment projects and to serve as an interface for ongoing delivery projects where STPL acts as a subcontractor.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering investment projects, expanding Saab's capabilities in Poland, and ensuring the successful integration of new assets and resources into the organization.

The PMO will actively participate in initiatives related to the acquisition, integration and management of strategic assets in Poland.

You will coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and company standards. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of Saab's presence in Poland.

Your main place of work will be STPL’s HQ in Warsaw (city centre) or Gdynia. The role requires frequent domestic travel across Poland and regular international trips, mainly within Europe.

This is primarily an office-based position, with remote work possible in exceptional cases.

Your role:

- Support strategic investment and business development projects from evaluation and planning through execution, implementation, handover and operational continuity.
- Manage and optimize the company’s asset portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, operational requirements and long-term business objectives.
- Lead acquisition processes, including due diligence, negotiations and post-acquisition integration activities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders, functions and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor, analyze, and report project progress against agreed financial, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Ensure effective risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with the Compliance and the Security functions to support the implementation and effective application of procedures, and regulatory requirements relevant to ongoing projects, including audits conducted by Police and other authorities, as well as applicable reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, industrial partners, government entities, and Saab Group stakeholders.
- Prepare business cases, management presentations, and decision-support materials.
- Drive continuous improvement in asset utilization, cost control, operational efficiency, and organizational resilience.

Your profile:

- Approximately 10 years of experience in project and program management, including PMO, investment, acquisition, and business development initiatives, with a proven track record of leading complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in an international and multi-stakeholder environment, preferably within the defence and security sector.
- University degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with extensive knowledge and experience in project management, governance, project planning, budget analysis, and risk assessment, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of capital investment processes, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong sense of accountability, attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset while maintaining a broader business perspective.
- Excellent communication skills in Polish and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and effective manner.
- Experience with project management, ERP, or reporting systems will be considered an advantage.
- Proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and complex business environments.

As a Personnel Security Clearance is required for this role, applicants shall already hold or have the ability to obtain one.

Selected applicants will be subject to security vetting and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including presenting a clear criminal record certificate obtained from the Polish National Criminal Register.
