Key purpose of the Job
The Manager - Technical is responsible for risk assessment and mitigation to ensure RFT (Right First Time) for new styles in the factory. The role holder will also be responsible for seamless flow of the production process and will resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Further the role holder is also responsible for looking at different options, methods & tools etc. to enhance production capabilities. Will drive the technical training and ensure teams are capable of handling day to day and future technical challenges.
Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the pre-production activities and ensures adherence to production start date
- Responsible for ensuring efficient transition of operations from pilot to bulk-production and resolving technical issues and for ensuring skill-based training for SMOs
- Oversee effective implementation of Technical initiatives and projects across the factory
- Lead and Manage Technical Team
Education
Bachelors’ Degree/Diploma in Clothing Technology.
## Experience
5 to 8+ years of experience in technical function Strong Knowledge on fabric inspection such as fabric width, fabric damages, 4-point system etc.., and fabric wash-dye process Knowledge on marker efficiency improvement, narrow width, fabric bowing, fabric twisting, selvage tightness Strong knowledge of machine setting such as hem cutter, flat seam, ringer Skill on sewing operations, garment construction, data analysis & problem-solving.
